NAMM Promotes Erin Block to Director of Data and Analytics
Block, a 23-year NAMM veteran, will oversee a new data and analytics department
CARLSBAD, CALIF., March 2, 2026 – NAMM (The National Association of Music Merchants), the largest global not-for-profit music trade organization, announced today that Erin Block has been appointed director of data and analytics. Block brings more than 20 years of experience in developing transformational data and innovative analytics on a global scale. In this position, Block will oversee all of NAMM’s global data and analytics, which is a critical combination for the organization’s future growth.

Block, who will report directly to John Mlynczak, previously worked on key initiatives for NAMM, including the NAMM Global Report, Cost of Doing Business Report and post-NAMM Show report. Additionally, Block managed membership recruitment and retention, as well as Women of NAMM and NAMM Young Professionals, using data metrics to target audiences for membership. She started her career in market research and holds a B.A. in Business Administration with an emphasis in market research from the University of San Diego.
