Wanna Play Music Day, which will be held on Saturday July 23 during 2011 Summer NAMM (July 21-23, 2011) in Nashville will get some additional promotional help from several of the leading musician-targeted consumer magazines in the industry thanks to a new alliance announced today by NAMM, and publishers New Bay Media and Modern Drummer Publications.

In addition to promoting the event to more than 1,000,000 combined musician subscribers each month in print and online, the publications will offer a free three-month subscription to all Wanna Play Music Day ticket buyers, and will participate in creating consumer clinics, master classes and themed events for the public visiting the show on Saturday.

“On Saturday, July 23, we’re changing the sign out in front of Summer NAMM from TRADE ONLY to MUSICIANS WELCOME!,” said Joe Lamond, president and CEO, NAMM. “And we couldn’t think of a better way to tell them about it than by working with some of the leading consumer magazines in the industry.”

Tickets for Summer NAMM’s Wanna Play Music Day are $15 in advance (before July 8) $20 thereafter (July 8-23) and go on sale April 19, 2011 at www.namm.org/summer/2011/wannaplay.
