NASHVILLE, Tenn.

Are you a NAMM member under 40 years of age? Looking for new business ideas, strategies and networking opportunities? Look no further. Join NAMM Young Professionals (NAMM YP) as it kicks off Summer NAMM 2010 in Nashville, Tenn.

On Thursday, June 17, this NAMM-based group will host its first annual Networking Reception from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Renaissance Ballroom at the Renaissance Hotel. Come out, grab a drink and meet your fellow under-40 music industry peers. (The event will also coincide with NAMM’s Pre-Show Party.) The first attendees will receive a free NAMM Young Professionals messenger bag until supplies last.

“NAMM Young Professionals is all about supporting ‘under 40s’ who are serious about success in this industry,” said Zach Frederick, president of Frederick Export in Denver, Colo., and president of NAMM YP. “We hope to get more young, motivated professionals involved in MI, and the industry will be better off for it.”

“NAMM YP provides a unique opportunity for young, business-minded people in the music retailing industry to be mentored by industry leaders,” said Aaron Soriero, co-owner of Music Matters in Atlanta. “Membership will allow for access to long-time industry professionals who will provide guidance, and additional resources to people who are new to our industry.”
