NAMM's The Music Edge and The Percussion Marketing Council Present the Fourth Annual International Drum Month Gear Giveaway

Carlsbad, Calif.

NAMM, the trade association of the international music products industry, today announced that its youth-targeted online magazine and Web resource called The Music Edge (www.themusicedge.com) is teaming up with The Percussion Marketing Council for the fourth annual International Drum Month Gear Giveaway.

In celebration of International Drum Month, the organizations are giving away 12 prize packages as a continued effort to promote drumming as a positive experience for all individuals regardless of age, gender, musical background, economic means, education or geographic location. The Percussion Marketing Council contributed more than $7,000 in prizes.

About Percussion Marketing Council
Formed in 1995, the Percussion Marketing Council (PMC) is the percussion industry’s trade organization. Its members are drum and percussion manufacturers, suppliers and dealers and are governed by a board made up from a representative group of its members. But more than just a group of companies and a governing body, the PMC is a nonprofit with a mission to actively promote the many benefits of drumming to the general public. By working together as a group of related firms in a non-competitive and cooperative manner, the PMC is creating more players and is assuring continuous development of more and new drummers.

About The Music Edge
A youth initiative of NAMM, The Music Edge is an online music magazine and Web resource established in May 2003 to inform teen music fans about rising music trends, up-and-coming bands as well as inspire visitors to participate in active music playing by creating a strong virtual community.
