Amy Lui is a dedicated music educator with the Los Angeles Unified School District at John H. Francis Polytechnic High School, where she teaches music technology, industry studies, and instrumental ensembles. Passionate about expanding opportunities for her students, Amy is committed to showing young musicians that careers in music extend far beyond performance, including pathways within the music products industry. A strong advocate for experiential learning, Amy has brought her students to The NAMM Show on multiple occasions, providing them with firsthand exposure to the industry, its innovations, and its many career possibilities. Through these experiences, she helps students connect classroom learning with real-world applications and inspires them to explore a wide range of professional opportunities. Amy holds advanced degrees in music industry administration and music education, and remains actively involved in music education and industry organizations. She was interviewed by the NAMM Oral History program in 2026, where she shared her passion for teaching and her commitment to guiding students toward meaningful careers in music.
