Hailun Piano

G. Frank Emerson is a piano designer whose roots are firmly based in piano technician training and experiences he was involved with in the early part of his career. He became a well respected piano designer for the Baldwin Piano Company in the 1970s while continuing to support the Piano Technicians Guild, for which he has often provided educational presentations. Frank was hired by Hailun Piano Company, based in China, and has since worked with the factories to implement the craftsmanship needed to build the instruments he has designed. Basilios Strmec grew up in Vienna and was exposed to piano music at an early age.  While learning many different languages, he studied business in college and went to work for Xerox.  After a few years, when a friend suggested to him to apply for an opening with a piano company, Basilios jumped at the change.  The company was Bosendorfer, which just happened to be the very brand of piano he played as a child.  While with the company, he worked on the technology that resulted in Zeus, a player piano product for the company.   He later worked with the American and Canadian markets,

Lauren Wallace was hired by the Baldwin Piano retail store in Cincinnati in 1997 as a salesperson.  She had played piano as a young girl and took up playing again when her son was taking lessons.  Her love of the Baldwin instruments put her in the store at the time there was an opening and Lauren took it!  Several years later she worked in the Baldwin office before working with Frank Seta in his Cincinnati store.  In 2007 Lauren was contacted by the Chinese company Hailun Piano and asked to serve as their North American sales rep, which she now enjoys very much.
