Jerusalem Music Industry

Matanya Ophee was born in Jerusalem at the time when it was Palestine.  He began playing guitar as a young boy and continued to play it as a hobby while he trained to be an airplane pilot.  He flew for the Israeli air force and later as a commercial pilot.  When he retired from flying, he established his own music publishing company as he had always been passionate about music.  His true love came in finding unpublished works of mostly unknown composers. He worked hard to bring those works to light, as he did with the music of François de Fossa.

EZ Wajcman was an innovative designer and entrepreneur whose passion for improving the sound of the electric guitar helped shape the evolution of guitar pickups. Recognizing the need for specialized pickups that offered musicians greater tonal possibilities, EZ partnered with fellow innovator Bill Lawrence to establish their pickup company in 1965.
