EZ Wajcman

EZ Wajcman was an innovative designer and entrepreneur whose passion for improving the sound of the electric guitar helped shape the evolution of guitar pickups. Recognizing the need for specialized pickups that offered musicians greater tonal possibilities, EZ partnered with fellow innovator Bill Lawrence to establish their pickup company in 1965. Their products quickly earned a reputation for exceptional quality and performance, becoming one of the standout innovations at the NAMM Shows of the mid-1960s. Throughout his career, EZ remained committed to refining both the manufacturing process and the sound of the company’s pickups. His dedication to craftsmanship and continual improvement helped ensure that each product met the highest standards while providing musicians with reliable, great-sounding equipment. In 2015, EZ proudly represented the company when NAMM President and CEO Joe Lamond presented Bill Lawrence USA with a Milestone Award recognizing 50 years of innovation and contributions to the music products industry. His work left a lasting impact on generations of guitarists and helped advance the art and science of electric guitar tone.
