Steve Dawe grew up surrounded by music! His mother was a piano teacher and he studied the trumpet in college, but ultimately gravitated to the Hammond B3 as his primary instrument on stage. A 25-year career in electronics followed, though his love of music never left him. Motivated to return to music, he took a yearlong intensive tuning and rebuilding class taught by Frank Hansen under the auspices of New England Conservatory of Music. Afterwards he was asked to be a piano tech for 11 weeks for the famous Tanglewood music program, where he honed his skills. The experience cemented

William Kraft has dedicated his life as a composer to the world of percussion. With noted works and workshops, William has become an important part of the educational element of the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC). In fact, several of his notable pieces were introduced during PASIC over the years. He grew up in San Diego and joined the United States Air Force for three years in the later part of World War II.

Chris Trombley found his footing in music education by stepping in as a substitute band director, a pivotal experience that sparked a lifelong commitment to empowering student musicians. That early role led to a position with John Keal Music as a dedicated road rep, where his hands-on experience proved to be an invaluable asset. A lifelong trombone and euphonium player, Chris was drawn to music education not just as a career but as a mission—to inspire the next generation of music makers.
