Roy Lamb has witnessed first-hand the many developments in Live Sound during his career. He began as an electrician for the Rolling Stones 1970 European tour and later became the Pro Lighting crew chief for the Moody Blues, among others. In 1980 he teamed with Mike Brown to form Edwin Shirley Staging, the first trucking company specifically for concert support. The following year he served as stage manager for The Who. Stephen Maples began his long and successful career in Live Entertainment as a truck driver for Deep Purple back in 1974. He has witnessed many changes over the years and has developed skills to wear different hats in the industry. He toured for several years as a truck driver with bands such as the Beach Boys, Ten Years After, and Rufus, then started dispatching for Egotrips, one of the original trucking companies in rock and roll 1978. Bob See was the founder of See Factor, one of the pioneering and innovative pro-lighting and pro-sound services in the world. Bob’s influential career began when Bill Graham opened up a music venue in New York City called the Fillmore East in the late 1960s. Bob cut his teeth in the lighting field as it was new to everyone. John B. Walker was a well-recognizable character of the music products industry having been a piano mover most of his career. He enjoyed success and friendship but is perhaps most proud of the fact that his son joined him in the business. John worked for several movers during his career and supported almost all of the piano builders at one time or another. He often said he saw the inside of more homes than anyone else in the music industry and that his job allowed him the chance to make new firends nearly every day.
