Oral History Information
David “Ranger” Adams was playing drums in his high school marching band when he realized they had a need for better lighting. With peach cans he created a system that worked so well he was asked to help run the lights for the school’s drama club performances. He enjoyed the process of helping the audience better see the performers and realized this was an issue outside of the school setting as well. Ranger began purchasing equipment and even making his own as the need increased for professional lights in clubs and theaters. Over the years he has served as a roadie, assistant stage manager and carpenter, but lighting remains his first love.
