DJ

DJ Flawless (Robert Williams Caines Jr.) grew up surrounded by the sounds and culture of hip-hop in the Bronx. The son of pioneering DJ Rockin’ Rob, he was introduced to turntables at an early age and began experimenting with DJ equipment when he was just three years old. Inspired by the music and techniques he heard at home, Flawless quickly developed a passion for the craft and began refining his skills through practice, DJ battles, and mentorship from respected figures in hip-hop including Melle Mel and Grandmaster Caz. Over time he became known for his mastery of classic DJ techniques, including beat juggling, a performance style popularized by innovators such as DJ Steve Dee. DJ Flawless has shared stages with many influential artists and continues to represent the traditions of hip-hop DJ culture while teaching and mentoring the next generation of DJs.
