Job Title
Production Tour Manager

Fiona Taylor was immersed in classical music from a young age, often attending concerts with her mother and eventually channeling her creative energy into dance. She toured internationally as a ballerina for six years, eventually stepping into a managerial role that included overseeing the dancers and coordinating the complex logistics of travel. While on tour in Japan in 1972, she met Mel Taylor, drummer of the legendary instrumental rock band The Ventures. The two shared a vibrant life filled with music and travel. After Mel’s passing in 1996, the band asked Fiona to manage them—a role she took on with grace and deep commitment. Her vivid, behind-the-scenes stories of The Ventures capture the band’s tireless spirit, Mel’s extraordinary drumming, and their global influence. A defining moment came when Fender honored the band at the NAMM Show, featuring an electrifying concert that included Bonnie Raitt, who quipped that “now that I played with The Ventures my career is complete.” Fiona’s stewardship keeps their remarkable legacy alive.
