J. Euell served as Senior Web Developer at NAMM, contributing more than two decades of innovation and support to the organization’s digital and technical infrastructure. He began his journey with NAMM in 2002 as a contractor in the marketing department, bringing his background in graphic arts—studied at Florida State University—into the early days of computer-based design. As NAMM’s technology needs evolved, J developed his skills in coding and web design, becoming an integral part of the organization’s transition into a more robust digital environment. In the early years, before a formal IT department was established, he took initiative in supporting and improving computer systems across the organization. Over time, J played a key role in developing tools and platforms that supported both staff and members, including contributions to NAMM’s content management systems. Throughout his career, J witnessed—and helped implement—major technological advancements, from early web development to the emergence of AI. Along the way, he also cherished opportunities to connect with artists at The NAMM Show, including memorable encounters with Alicia Keys and Stevie Wonder.
