John Stoner came into the music products industry as an outsider when he joined the Conn-Selmer team in the early 2000s. As a father of a band student, he took part in fundraising and supporting his daughter's musical education while, at the same time, understanding the importance of music in a child’s life. As an outsider to the business, John has often told his dealers, educators and employees that his view on the role our industry has in developing young students is critically important and could never be overstated. As a result of his drive to increase music makers, John, while at the helm of Conn-Selmer, has focused a good deal of his attention on growing the global markets and bringing his instruments into the hands of students around the world.
