Kayla Davis

Kayla Davis was inspired to pursue music at a young age after watching a high school band perform the theme from Star Wars for her class. Drawn to the trumpet player, she chose the instrument when it came time to join band, later transitioning to the tuba as her musical interests evolved. Today, Kayla serves as an Educational Sales Representative for Music & Arts, working with schools throughout the metro Washington, D.C. area and supporting band directors—much like those who once influenced her own musical journey. Her work reflects a strong commitment to music education and student engagement. Kayla participated in the Women of NAMM (WoN) Leadership Summit in October 2022, an experience that helped shape her professional growth and connection to the industry. She was first interviewed by the NAMM Oral History program during the summit and was interviewed again in 2026, where she shared meaningful insights into how the program influenced her career and deepened her involvement with the Women of NAMM community.
