Ken Parker began building guitars and basses—first for his brother and then for other players—in the early 1970s. He fell in love with archtops and became one of the most respected and innovative guitar luthiers in the industry. After learning his craft in New York during the 1970s and ’80s, Ken met Larry Fishman, and together they developed a series of groundbreaking products that reshaped modern guitar design. Among Ken’s best-known creations was the revolutionary Fly Guitar, along with several other models under the Parker Guitars brand. After the company was sold, Ken returned to his roots as a craftsman, once again working closely with his tools and wood to create a new generation of distinctive archtop guitars. His artistry and forward-thinking approach continue to inspire luthiers and builders around the world.
