Laura Smith

Laura Smith was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, making her eventual career with Sweetwater Sound feel like a natural fit. With a professional background in e-commerce, Laura brought valuable experience to Sweetwater, where she became Vice President of Marketplaces. In this role, she focuses much of her attention on the company’s Amazon presence, helping guide the many details involved in representing Sweetwater and serving customers within an ever-evolving online marketplace. Laura is especially proud of the talented team she works with each day and the collaboration required to achieve their shared goals. In 2026, she attended the Women of NAMM Leadership Summit, where she valued the opportunity to connect with other women from across the music products industry. For Laura, one of the most meaningful aspects of the Summit was the camaraderie she discovered and the relationships she formed with an amazing group of women, several of whom she felt would become lifelong friends.
