Margaret Addison

Margaret “Maggie” Addison has built a rewarding career in the music industry by helping others experience the joy of making music. Although she once dreamed of becoming a professional musician herself, Maggie found her true calling in supporting others on their musical journeys. She began playing violin at the age of five and cherished the satisfaction that came with each new level of progress. After earning her master’s degree in music, she unfortunately sustained an overuse injury that prevented her from continuing to play at the same intensity. Rather than stepping away from music, she redirected her passion toward helping others find the right instruments to express themselves. In 2012, she joined the team at Johnson String Instrument, where she continues to take pride in connecting musicians of all ages with the tools they need to thrive. Margaret participated in the 2025 Women of NAMM (WoN) Leadership Summit, a yearly event designed to foster leadership development and expand participants’ professional networks.
