Masahiro Minowa is the Representative Director, CEO, and CIO of Roland Corporation, where he leads one of the world’s most influential music technology companies with a vision centered on innovation and collaboration. Since joining Roland in 1996, Minowa has held a range of leadership roles across planning, development, and executive management, contributing to the company’s global growth and technological advancement. He was appointed CEO in 2024. Throughout his career, Minowa has emphasized the importance of collaboration across cultures and disciplines, believing that true innovation occurs when diverse perspectives come together. Guided by a philosophy of mutual respect, he has worked closely with engineers, marketers, and global partners to foster an environment where creativity and understanding drive success. Under his leadership, Roland’s vision—“We design the future”—has expanded beyond its engineering teams to include musicians, creators, and audiences worldwide. Minowa has championed the idea that while Roland provides the tools for expression, it is through collaboration with artists that the future of music is truly shaped.
