Long before artificial intelligence and machine learning became common in business systems, he was already examining their potential benefits and challenges for creative professionals. During the early days of Napster, Paul became interested in how digital distribution was changing the business model for artists and how musicians could continue to thrive in a rapidly evolving landscape. His work eventually led to the development of the A3 business model—Artist Advancement Applications—which supports content creators navigating the growing role of AI in music and entertainment. Through his leadership with A3E (Advanced Audio + Applications Exchange), Paul has helped present forward-thinking educational programming about the future of music technology. A frequent NAMM presenter since attending his first NAMM Show in 1999, he views the event as a bellwether for innovation and emerging trends in the music products industry.
