Korinne Smith

Korinne Smith is an accomplished classical musician who has combined her lifelong passion for music with a deep desire to educate and inspire others to reach their musical goals. Her journey began in childhood, singing in church before discovering the flute in elementary school—an instrument that became her lifelong companion. Inspired by an influential music teacher, Korinne pursued degrees in music education and flute performance, earning both her master’s and doctorate while serving as a band director in Rochester, New York. Her work leading master classes and educational clinics eventually led her to connect with Haynes Flutes, where she found fulfillment in helping musicians discover the perfect instrument for their artistic voice. Today, as Global Sales and Marketing Manager for the company, Korinne continues to combine artistry, mentorship, and innovation in all she does. She participated in the 2025 Women of NAMM (WoN) Leadership Summit, a yearly event designed to foster leadership development and expand participants’ professional networks.
