Kristen Rencher

Kristen Rencher knows how much a great music teacher can shape a life. She started playing in her school band in elementary school and stayed with it all the way through high school. She credits the teachers who inspired her along the way with setting her on her career path. At Conn-Selmer, Kristen first served as Marketing and Communications Manager for Band and Orchestra. In that role she oversaw digital and print content, developed resources and led campaigns supporting sales, products, partnerships, sponsorships and events. After she was promoted to Senior Director of Marketing, she focused on sharing the rich history of one of the industry’s most emblematic companies and its storied brands. Kristen follows her teachers’ example by supporting her team the way they supported her, and in 2026 she attended the Women of NAMM Leadership Summit. In her NAMM Oral History interview, she spoke eloquently about those mentors and her ardent belief in music education.
