Interview Date
Job Title
Chief Operating Officer
Company Name
La Bella Strings

Lorenza Cocco takes great pride in her family’s remarkable history in instrument string making, a tradition that dates back to the 1600s. While the La Bella Company is world-renowned for its strings, few know that at one point the family also crafted church bells—an example of their deep roots in artisanship and sound. Though Lorenza always knew she would one day contribute to the family business, she first pursued her own professional path, developing her business acumen as a stock trader on Wall Street. After spending time living and working in Europe, she felt the moment was right to return to La Bella in 2011. Since then, she has found great meaning in working alongside her father and brother, helping to guide the company’s growth while honoring its centuries-old legacy. Lorenza participated in the 2025 Women of NAMM (WoN) Leadership Summit, a yearly event designed to foster leadership development and expand participants’ professional networks.
