Yoko Leader learned to play as a student of the Yamaha Electone school, but later graduated university with her major in Mathematics. When Yoko was picked up from graduation by Matsushita Electric, her interest in music steered her towards joining the Electronic Musical Instruments Division, which manufactured the Technics brand. Combining the disciplines of Music and Mathematics Yoko worked for 12 years as a software engineer at Technics including steering feature development with the international Musician Team of which her now husband Phil was a founder member. Since moving to the UK in 2001 Yoko has worked in partnership with Phil at All Right Music, developing content for major keyboard brands. At the termination of the Technics brand in 2004 Yoko negotiated for All Right Music to become the sole licensor of the sample library recorded by Technics throughout its existence.
