From networking with current vendors and scoping out new brands to learning at NAMM U sessions and taking in the Nashville nightlife, the music industry stayed busy during a fun and productive three days in Nashville for Summer NAMM. The National Association of Music Merchant’s (NAMM) event held July 12-14 is timed to line up with product releases for the holiday buying season complimenting January's The NAMM Show.

Alto Music wins ‘Dealer of the Year,’ while other retailers take home wins in ‘Best of’ categories, as the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) recognizes excellence in music products and instruments retail. The Top 100 Dealer awards celebrate the best business practices by U.S. retailers, as the music products industry gathers in Nashville for the Summer NAMM show.

The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) will open the typically trade-only event, Summer NAMM held in Nashville, Tenn. to all for Public Day on Saturday, July 14th. Summer NAMM's Public Day offers a rare opportunity for everyone to see, and in some cases play, the latest music instruments and products from over 350 exhibitors representing many more brands.

The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) welcomes 74 first-time exhibitors to the annual Summer NAMM musical instrument and products trade show. Summer NAMM opens July 12-14 at the convention center in Nashville, Tenn. New-to-Summer NAMM companies, many of which represent multiple brands, make up 20% of the total number of exhibitors.  

Visitors to Nashville this July 12-14, will have access to two simultaneous business events on July 12. Summer NAMM and PLASA Focus: Nashville have arranged for attendees to easily gain access to both events with just one badge, and at no extra cost.

"Make Music” celebrations will fill the air with music worldwide in 460 cities across 116 countries on June 21, 2012. National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) is now lending promotional support to the growing Make Music New York celebration. Free concerts and hands-on, recreational music making opportunities will be open to all throughout the longest day of the year. Major participating U.S. cities include New York City, Chicago, and Pasadena, with new events launching in Denver, Los Angeles and Santa Fe.

The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) returns to Nashville, Tenn. for its annual Summer NAMM musical instrument and products trade show July 12 – 14, 2012 with a wide variety of events scheduled day and night. Over 10,000 music industry professionals from 20+ countries are planning to attend the 3-day event at Nashville’s Convention Center. On July 14th only, the typically trade-only event opens to the public for $10 in advance, $15 at the door including additional events geared toward enthusiast musicians.

The NAMM Foundation is accepting applications at www.nammfoundation.org for its 2013 President’s Innovation Award to support under graduate and graduate students pursuing careers in the music products industry. 



The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) applauds the House Natural Resources Committee’s approval of H.R. 3210, known as the RELIEF Act. The bipartisan bill provides an exception for instruments created before the 2008 Lacey Act amendments and offers protection for owners of musical instruments who exercise due care in their acquisition. The bill now goes to an expected mid-July discussion and eventual vote by the entire House of Representatives.

The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) announces the Top 100 Dealers of music products and instruments in the United States. The awards will be presented to the top music merchants from across the country at the organization’s annual summer music product trade show, Summer NAMM, held in Nashville, Tenn., on July 13, 2012. In addition to the Top 100, NAMM will recognize the Dealer of the Year and retail winners in a dozen other categories at the event.

The highly anticipated launch of NAMM Musikmesse Russia and Prolight + Sound NAMM Russia brought together the latest music industry products from 190 companies from across 18 countries with industry professionals and music lovers in Russia. The new trade shows offered full line presentations from the musical instrument, professional equipment, publishing, modern lighting, sound and installation technologies industries.
