Make Music Winter, a free, outdoor music-making celebration held each Dec. 21 in New York City, today announced its full lineup of over a dozen participatory musical parades across the five boroughs. The all-day musical celebration on the winter solstice brings together New Yorkers of all ages, musical abilities and genres to sing, play, march and dance their way across streets, parks, plazas and other public spaces citywide.

The NAMM Foundation has announced a multitude of opportunities for college music students and faculty, music educators and administrators, emerging professionals and nonprofit leaders, and advocates to advance their networks and education, as well as to rally in a united spirit in support of music education. Each day of the Show, The NAMM Foundation will present dozens of sessions and opportunities to learn, network with peers and engage on the topics at the fore of music education advocacy.

The NAMM Foundation has announced stand-up comedian and entertainer extraordinaire Demetri Martin as the host of the prestigious 33rd Annual NAMM Technical Excellence & Creativity Awards (NAMM TEC Awards), Saturday, January 27, 2018 in Anaheim, CA during The NAMM Show, the global crossroads of the music products, pro audio and sound, and event technology industries.  

At The 2018 NAMM Show, Audinate, the creators of DanteTM, the multi-channel digital media networking protocol, will present three progressive levels of the Dante Certification Program and an insider “tips and tricks” with Dante. The courses are designed as progressive education to both introduce and accelerate Dante professional knowledge, and will take place at the NAMM U Education Center at the Anaheim Hilton during The NAMM Show, January 25 – 28.

The official 17th Annual Parnelli Awards ballot is now online and open to voting from subscribers of Projection, Lights and Staging News and Front of House magazines. The winners in each category will be announced at the Parnelli Awards on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at The NAMM Show in Anaheim, California.
